The beauty of Ty Newydd, set on the edge of the Brecon
Becons National Park, is that we can provide all this in
an exclusive atmosphere and make sure you are the most important
couple in the world.
All of our 28 bedrooms and reception rooms in this fine
neo-Georgian country house feel more like home than a hotel
and, with our licence to hold civil ceremonies, we can provide
a complete wedding package and the most intimate atmosphere
for you to exchange your vows.
Yet, with our highly-acclaimed kitchens and dedicated staff,
we can ensure that you and up to 250 guests enjoy superb
food and the best possible care and attention. We can organise
all your wedding plans including your wedding flowers and
your cake, provide a master of ceremonies to run the day,
even music to accompany the event, so you can head off into
married life with memories to cherish forever.
We can also offer the exclusivity and privacy of our superior
four poster rooms which make the perfect venue for an intimate
wedding night or honeymoon.
We are also delighted to welcome alternative services and
same sex ceremonies.
Civil Ceremonies
At the Ty Newydd Country Hotel we are proud to have
a licence to hold civil weddings and civil partnership
ceremonies so you can celebrate the whole event with
us.
If you wish to hold a civil ceremony at the hotel, you will
need the attendance of the Superintendent Registrar of
the district to register the marriage or partnership.

We charge a nominal fee to set up the room for civil
ceremonies and catering fayre must be purchased
afterwards (see terms and conditions).
Please note that there are Bank Holidays on which civil
ceremonies cannot be undertake such as Easter and
Christmas Day.
The Wedding Breakfast
Your wedding breakfast may be held in our Foxhunter
Suite or for a more intimate wedding in the George
Restaurant.
The Foxhunter Suite is on the ground floor and is self
contained with its own private bar situated in the adjoining
conservatory. The suite is licensed for civil ceremonies
and can comfortably cater for 140 guests.
The George Restaurant is ideal for smaller wedding parties
and seats 60 guests in a Restaurant setting.
Our wedding breakfast menus are designed to give choice
and flexibility whilst catering for all budgets.
The Evening Reception
To compliment your day we are able to arrange your
evening reception for up to 250 people.
We do not charge room hire; however, an evening buffet
must be provided for all guests attending.
Bar facilities are available until midnight, an extension
to 1:00am can be arranged on request. Hotel residents
may continue to use the resident’s bar which is open 24
hours.
We are happy to organise a disco for you; however, you
may arrange your own entertainment if you prefer.
